Michelham Priory

Explore 800 years of history at Michelham Priory and Gardens. The house was built in Tudor times and is set on a picturesque, moated island.

Travel on our Service 48 from Eastbourne, Polegate and Hailsham to the stunning Michelham Priory and Gardens on Tuesdays (Jun-Oct) and Thursdays (Mar-Oct) and you'll get 2-for-1 entry (or half price if travelling alone). All you need do is show your bus ticket or pass at the Gate House on arrival.

Long Man Brewery

Long Man brew award winning beers in a converted barn in the heart of the South Downs National Park. They put environmental sustainability at the heart of everything they do, including making their beer from their own barley grown in the Cuckmere Valley. Their brewery shop is open 7 days a week and they hold regular brewery tours and tastings sessions (brewery tours must be pre-booked online).

Our Cuckmere Valley Ramblerbus passes their door hourly every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday during British Summer Time.

Observatory Science Centre

The Observatory Science Centre is an interactive educational and historical attraction in Herstmonceux open from the beginning of February to the end of November with regular events and open evenings.

For passengers using Cuckmere Buses 49 service, the Observatory are offering 2 for the price of 1 admission on production of a bus ticket. This will apply for 2 seniors for the price of 1, or 2 adults for the price of 1. For 1 adult/senior paying admission with 1 child the child will be able to enter free of charge.
